Hittin' the Town: Denim

Denim is a simple, yet chic way to transition your going out look. From high-waisted widelegs to cream skinny jeans, BTG has a variety of jeans to solve any denim dilemma.

Denim Look # 1: Dark pencil leg jeans

Dark skinny jeans have been a staple item for years and pops of color are this spring's biggest trend. Even blazers are turning up the color. Add some pizazz to dark skinnies with a boldly-colored blazer. This Kelly green blazer is perfect for the unpredictable weather at night.

Denim Look # 2: Light-wash widelegs

High-waisted widelegs are ideal for a variety of shapes and sizes because they accentuate your best features, however a lighter-wash on jeans can sometimes seem intimidating. Despite any doubt, rest assured because strategic fading in lighter jeans will actually lengthen and flatter your legs. Add a cropped, lace top with a feminine bralette underneath to complete a cool, retro look perfect for a night on the town!

Denim Look # 3: Cream-color crops

The old adage "white only after labor day" is exactly just that: an old, outdated rule. Rid yourself of the rules and be the cream of the crop (pun-intended) in these cream-colored crops (wow that's a mouthful)! Pair a light blue top and coral-colored shoes to be both bold and bright at night. This look is also perfect for spring break, so put on those cream-colored jeans and order a margarita on the rocks!

Denim Look #4: Teal skinny jeans

And of course we couldn't leave out boldly-colored denim. After ranting about our obsession with pops of color, these teal skinny jeans add an ideal burst of blue to your outfit. Cheetah-print wedges add some sass to make your look perfect for going out, or even on a date!

Picnic Perfect

Although a wicker basket and checkered blanket are not required, this spring picnic-inspired clothing is a trend taking over.

Warning: In order to avoid looking too much like "Little Bo Peep," add some edginess to achieve a picnic perfect look.

Examples of  a picnic perfect look:

Expose a bright bralette under a checkered blouse.
Vibrant red skinnies
amp up a plaid blouse.
Pair bold statement jewelry
with dainty, floral shorts.

Shoe Spotlight: Sam Edelman

It's all about the details.

A Sam Edelman shoe is known for its impeccable quality, and especially its ability to step outside of the box (pun-intended). This spring it's all about the smaller details that really make a shoe unique.

Sam Edelman's spring collection makes us take a closer look to reveal...
A gold-plated heel.

  Mixed print sandal straps.
animal print/coral + patent leather/shimmer

Black or rose gold buckles.
With leopard + nude straps.

Python print with a'70s flared heel

Since BTG cares about the little things in life and our customers, we sell Sam Edelman shoes for lower than the suggested retail price.

BTG Trending for Spring: Pops of Color

The trend this spring is color.

Just as flowers bloom in the springtime, fashion mimics a similar transformation. Warmer weather demands for us to shed our winter outerwear and embrace brighter colors. What sets this spring apart is mixing vibrant hues and adding bold embellishments of color to take your spring look to the next level.

Color block with an unexpected color duo: a vibrant orange tee from Velvet, and muted violet cropped skinnies from Free People.

Add patches of color to your basic denim shorts with the help of Free People.

Orange doesn't have to only be for Auburn football season, the runways are making it big for this spring. Free People translated this runway color into ready-to-wear, billowy shorts.

Neon colors are making a huge wave this season... Keep it casual in a lime green Velvet tee.

Chloe Popwell

What is your favorite trend for spring?

Chloe: I am obsessed with color blocking for spring, such as mixing a fuschia skirt with a bright orange top. The coolest thing I've seen with color blocking is Sam Edelman shoes with color blocked heels and sandals.

Who is your style icon?

Chloe: Rachel Bilson because she so effortlessly puts Bohemian looks together with edgy pieces such as a leather jacket or over-the-knee boots.

What are you going to get with your next paycheck?

Chloe: I'm in love with our new Free People bralettes, and this (see picture above) Mink Pink blouse is a classic that I could have in my wardrobe forever! And of course a pop of color with a purple necklace.

What is an interesting fact about yourself?

Chloe: I've been gift wrapping at BTG since I was eight--I could barely see over the counter.

Victoria Starks

What is your favorite trend for spring?

Victoria: I am really into Aztec prints in all mediums (i.e. shoes, pants, tops, scarfs, etc.). I also like cropped tops to pair with high-waisted bottoms.

Who is your style icon?

Victoria: Nicole Richie because her style has evolved throughout the years and she made the classic bohemian look more chic.

What are you going to get with your next paycheck?

Victoria: The taupe Steve Madden "Warden" suede platforms and brown high-low Ark & Co. maxi skirt (see picture above).

What is an interesting fact about yourself?
